Ontario funds more child care capital than at any point in a decade — mostly through the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) system. This guide turns that into a clear path: get funded, get licensed, get equipped, open on time.

Ontario flows most funding through your local CMSM/DSSAB (municipal child care office), not directly from the province — that's your first call.

Your grant covers the furniture, too. Eligible capital applies to cribs, changing stations, tables, chairs, storage and flooring. We build a grant-ready equipment budget — itemized per room, quote-ready for your CMSM submission — so approved funding becomes a finished, inspection-ready centre. See turnkey room packages →
